TIME SQUARE | THE SHIFT is a tale of heroes.

This book is dedicated to my real-life heroes…

My wonderful, beautiful, amazing, precious daughter, who bravely and gracefully fought the biggest battle of her life and won. You have inspired me so much.

My son,  who showed maturity beyond his years as he stood by his sister and proved that he is the most fantastic big brother she could ever have.

My wife,  who has endured the nightmare that no parent should ever have to endure. You gave us all strength with your courage and grace.

All of the brave children who have battled or will battle childhood cancer. An illness that none of them choose, but one that they all bravely fight. Utmost respect to the parents of these children, who are thrust into a nightmare, where all existing priorities are tossed out the window, and they face the reality that in this fast-paced world there are only two things that matter … health and family.

All of the doctors, nurses, therapists, counsellors, support staff, volunteers who spend their working lives caring for children with cancer and supporting their overwhelmed parents and siblings. Especially those at Ward 3B, Princess Margaret Hospital in Perth, Western Australia.
